Company Description

Qnion Robotics builds industrial robot cells for manufacturing plants in India. Our cells uses AI to find a part and handle it, without fixtures and without teaching the robot each position. We design the cell, build it in our own workshop and write its software.

This is an on-site internship in Bhosari, Pune, Monday to Saturday, for 3 to 6 months. Full time and part time are both open, and part time hours are agreed at the interview. Candidates who can join immediately are preferred. The stipend starts from Rs 10,000 per month, is set by the skills you bring and is revised with performance.

You will design and build hardware that goes into a working robot cell:

• Assemble and commission a multi-axis positioning stage used to test our vision system.
• Build the robot cell: the mounting base, the camera mount and the guarding.
• Design gripper fingers, adapter plates and brackets in SolidWorks, and make their manufacturing drawings.
• Build a small conveyor for moving-part trials.
• Fit, drill, tap and assemble machined and printed parts,



and check them against the drawing.
• Work with fabrication shops and suppliers to get parts made and bought.
• Route cables and mount sensors together with the electronics team.
• Help run robot test cycles and record the results.

Every task comes with a written condition that says when it is finished. You build it and you show that it meets the condition. You will see your parts running on a robot within weeks, and you take on more of the cell as your work proves itself.

Qualifications

• A diploma or degree in mechanical, production or mechatronics engineering, completed or pursuing.
• Working skill in SolidWorks: parts, assemblies and drawings.
• Hands-on workshop experience: drilling, tapping, fitting and assembly, and measuring with a vernier caliper and a micrometer.
