Position Overview

We are looking for empathetic and experienced Genetic Counsellors (GCs) to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have robust scientific knowledge, excellent counselling skills, and familiarity with molecular assays and clinical genomics reporting.



This role supports both patients and clinicians across domains including reproductive genetics, rare disorders, oncology, and personal genomics.

Qualifications

• MSc and/or PhD in Biomedical Genetics, Applied Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or related life sciences
• OR MBBS with relevant training/experience
• Board-certified Genetic Counsellor – Level 2 preferred, Level 1 acceptable

Experience

• Senior GC: 5+ years of experience in genetic counselling
• Experience in pre- and post-test counselling for: Reproductive disorders, Rare genetic conditions, Oncology, Personal genomics
• Working knowledge of molecular assays
• Familiarity with: Psychosocial aspects of counselling, Genomic databases, international guidelines, and clinical reporting protocols

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive genetic counselling sessions with patients and families across various specialties
• Review and explain genetic test reports to patients and clinicia
