Role Description The Owner role at JU CS-IT Placements - PG is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Owner is responsible for overseeing all placement-related operations, including coordinating with companies, managing recruitment drives, and maintaining relationships with industry partners and academic stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks include planning placement strategies, supervising communication channels (such as social media and email), tracking student placement progress, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. The role also involves guiding students on career readiness, organizing workshops or info sessions, and continuously identifying new opportunities for CS-IT postgraduate placements. The Owner is expected to provide overall leadership, make data-informed decisions, and ensure smooth execution of placement activities throughout the academic year.
Qualifications
• Solid organizational and operations management skills, with the ability to plan and execute multiple placement activities and recruitment drives.
• Excellent communication, negotiation,



and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with students, faculty, and industry partners.
• Knowledge of the technology job market, particularly roles relevant to CS-IT postgraduates, and familiarity with campus recruitment processes.
• Experience with basic data tracking, reporting, and use of office productivity tools (spreadsheets, presentation software, email and social platforms).
• Proven leadership capabilities, including decision-making, problem-solving, and mentoring or guiding students on career readiness.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in placement coordination, talent acquisition, career services, or academic administration is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru and commit to a full-time schedule aligned with academic and recruitment calenda
