ABOUT BUMRUM
BUMRUM addresses a easy problem: “I want to do something, but I don't have anyone to do it with.”
Users can discover people interested in activities such as sports, fitness, hobbies,
entertainment and social experiences — from badminton and tennis to running, salsa, café
hopping, photography and more.

BUMRUM is currently in the market validation and pre-launch stage, giving the intern an
opportunity to work on real start-up questions rather than routine marketing tasks.

THE ROLE




We are looking for a curious and proactive Marketing & Growth Intern – Trainee to work
directly with the founder on BUMRUM's research, validation, marketing and go-to-market
activities.
This is not primarily a social-media posting role.
You will help answer questions such as:
• Do people actually have this problem?
• Who should BUMRUM target first?
• What would users be willing to pay?
• Who are our competitors?
• How should we launch in Bengaluru?
• Where can we find our first 1,000 users?
• Which marketing channels should we test?

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Market & Customer Research
• Conduct surveys and customer interviews
• Analyse responses and identify patterns
• Research consumer behaviour and social trends
• Help validate BUMRUM's core problem and target audience

2. Competitor Research
Research and compare:
• Social and friendship apps
• Dating apps
• Sports/activity platforms
• Meetup and community platforms
