Role & responsibilities: To ensure the safe, accurate, and timely movement of containers, cargo, trailers, and vehicles through the CFS gate by verifying documents, updating/ verifying systems, complying with Customs and security regulations, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve effective gate operations.
Key Accountability
- Gate documentation verification.
- Entry and exit management of containers and vehicles.
- Gate system transactions and data accuracy.
- Compliance with Customs, security, and statutory requirements.
- Coordination with Yard, Warehouse, Security, Transporters, CHAs, and Customs.
- Gate turnaround time (TAT) monitoring.
- Exception handling and issue escalation.
- Maintenance of gate records and MIS.
- Compliance with HSE and traffic management procedures.
- Implementation of Smart Gate and Parking software.
- Work on the operation cost / man power reduction and improved TAT.
