QA Automation Engineer

Summary

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in Selenium and Playwright to design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts. The ideal candidate will work closely with development and QA teams in an Agile/Scrum setting to improve test coverage, streamline testing processes, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Playwright.
- Build and enhance automation frameworks for functional, regression, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate with developers, test managers, and software architects to define automation strategies and testing approaches.
- Convert manual test cases into automated scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Execute automated test suites, analyze results, troubleshoot failures, and report defects.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.




- Maintain test environments and assess the impact of application changes on existing automation scripts.
- Collaborate with development teams to investigate and resolve customer-reported issues.
- Prepare test execution reports and identify opportunities to improve automation coverage and reliability.
- Support non-functional testing activities, including performance and security testing, where required.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright.
- Experience in test automation frameworks and automated test script development.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Good understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with API testing, defect tracking tools, and test management processes.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
