Position Overview
As an Area Manager in the Agency channel at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, you will be responsible
for driving business growth across your assigned area, leading and developing a team of Sales
Managers, and expanding the insurance agent advisor network. You will own area-level performance,
build leadership bench strength, and ensure sustainable, compliant growth.
Key Responsibilities

Team Management & Leadership: Hire, train, coach and manage a team of Sales Managers,
who in turn lead Agency Managers (AMs) / Financial Planning Consultants (FPCs), to drive overall
area performance.

Business Target Achievement: Own and deliver area-level targets for First Year Premium,
active advisor count and product mix; review performance regularly and take corrective action.

Advisor Network Expansion: Drive recruitment and activation of current advisors, and build a
strong, productive agent network across the territory.

Advisor Engagement & Retention:



Guide Sales Managers and AMs on advisor activation,
persistency and renewal collections, and long-term relationship building.

Territory & Market Planning: Identify growth markets, plan branch and team expansion, and
allocate resources to maximise area productivity.

Talent Pipeline & Succession: Identify high performers, groom future Sales Managers, and keep
attrition low within the team.
¢
Compliance & Governance: Ensure all sales practices, agent recruitment and customer
interactions strictly adhere to IRDAI guidelines and internal company policies.

MBA from a reputed campus
5+ years of experience in the BFSI industry, including 2+ years in a
team-handling role (Sales Manager or equivalent) in Agency / Life Insurance
