Job Description L3 Network Engineer (Routing, Switching & Palo Alto Firewalls)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced L3 Network Engineer with strong expertise in Routing, Switching, and Palo Alto Firewalls to design, implement, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for providing Level-3 support, handling complex network incidents, leading network enhancement projects, and ensuring high availability, security, and performance of the organization's network workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L3 support for enterprise network infrastructure and critical production environments.
- Design, configure, and maintain complex Routing and Switching solutions.
- Manage and troubleshoot Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW).
- Perform network capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF,



EIGRP, and Static Routing.
- Manage VLANs, STP, HSRP, VRRP, EtherChannel, and Layer 2/Layer 3 technologies.
- Implement and support network security policies, NAT, VPNs, IPSec, and Access Control Lists.
- Analyze network traffic using monitoring and packet capture tools.
- Conduct firewall rule reviews, security assessments, and compliance checks.
- Collaborate with security, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams.
- Lead network migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery activities.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and SOPs.
- Participate in root cause analysis and recommend preventive measures.
