Plumbing Site Supervisor — Job ProfileSupervises on-site installation of plumbing, water supply, drainage, and stormwater systems. Ensures work follows approved drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise plumbers and subcontractors; assign daily work and monitor progress.
- Check pipe routing, sizes, slopes, supports, sleeves, and equipment locations against approved drawings.
- Coordinate plumbing work with civil, architectural, HVAC, and electrical teams.
- Inspect materials and installation quality; report defects and arrange corrections.
- Track labour, materials, site measurements, and daily progress.
- Coordinate pressure tests, drainage tests, inspections, and commissioning.




- Enforce site safety procedures and maintain inspection and progress records.
- Raise drawing discrepancies, site constraints, and material requirements with the project team.

Typical qualifications and skills

- Diploma or trade qualification in plumbing, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Practical experience supervising plumbing installation on building projects.
- Ability to read plumbing and drainage drawings and understand pipe sizes, levels, and gradients.
- Knowledge of plumbing materials, installation methods, testing, and site safety.
- Transparent communication, coordination, and team leadership skills.
