Associate Director - Databricks

We are looking for an experienced Associate Director - Databricks to lead large-scale data transformation initiatives, drive solution architecture, and manage strategic client engagements. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned data engineering professional with strong leadership capabilities and deep expertise in modern Data & AI platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale data engineering solutions on Databricks.
- Architect and implement scalable data pipelines, Lakehouse solutions, and modern data platforms.
- Drive client engagements, stakeholder management, and strategic discussions with business and technology leaders.
- Lead multiple project teams/pods, ensuring quality delivery, governance, and successful project execution.
- Own solution design, effort estimation, resource planning, and delivery management.
- Participate in business development activities including proposal creation, RFP responses, and solution presentations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data strategies and roadmaps.

Technical Expertise





- 13+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Analytics.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Databricks
- Python
- SQL
- Apache Spark

- Extensive experience with:

- Databricks Lakehouse Platform
- Medallion Architecture
- Delta Lake & Delta Tables
- Unity Catalog
- Time Travel
- Large-scale data processing and optimization

- Solid understanding of:

- Data Modeling
- Data Warehousing
- ETL/ELT Frameworks
- Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) approaches
- Data Governance and Best Practices

Leadership & Consulting Skills

- Proven experience leading large client programs and distributed delivery teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
- Experience in solution architecture, estimation, project planning, and delivery governance.
- Demonstrated success in proposal development, pre-sales support, and solution consulting.
- Ability to influence senior business and technology stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Cloud Platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Databricks Certifications (Associate/Professional level preferred).
- Experience working with enterprise data modernization and cloud migration programs.
