Role & responsibilities

- Development of new products including Analytical Method Development and Formulation Development in a specified period of time according to the clients needs.
- Develop and execute the R&D; strategy aligned with company goals and market trends.
- Identify potential current product opportunities and emerging technologies to explore.
- Lead and manage multiple R&D; projects from concept to commercialization.
- Set project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the R&D; team.
- Oversee the development of new formulations, processes, and technologies.
- Conduct feasibility studies and pilot trials to evaluate new concepts
- Lead and mentor a team of scientists, engineers, and researchers.
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the R&D; team.
- Recruit and develop talent to strengthen the R&D; capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, manufacturing, and regulatory affairs.
- Communicate R&D; progress and findings to senior management.
- Present technical information effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure R&D; activities comply with relevant regulatory standards and quality guidelines




- Implement quality control measures throughout the development process
- Decide the product profile according to the client specification
- Conduct literature survey and analyze similar products in the market
- Conduct pre-formulation studies
- Develop formula and process to get the product to meet the specifications
- Conducting stability study on initial forms
- Select the best formula from the stability study
- Prepare pilot scale batches of the selected formula
- Conduct stability study in the desired packs
- Scale up the product to production
- Conduct stability study on the first three batches of production
- Encourage teamwork among the team members
- Ensure the highest levels of quality in all the processes in the department
- Conduct all activities of the department only within the framework of the law of the land
- Investigate any deviations from established procedures and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain facility quality systems.
- Implementation of cGMP and GLP.
- Tech transfer dossier if any query response.
- To Conduct facility/Respective area GEMBA round and escalate the findings to the HOD/reporting functionality.
