Job Title: Design Engineer Operator Platform & Linkage Systems

Department: Cabin Platform Unit / Vehicle Design

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop operator/Cabin platform structures using sheet metal and fabricated components.
- Design, validate, and optimize Cabin/ROPS mounting structures and platform assemblies.
- Perform material selection for sheet metal parts, rods, square pipes, heat shields, and other structural components.
- Design clutch, brake, accelerator, gear shift, and PTO linkage systems for tractors and off-highway vehicles.
- Select and develop cable-type and rod-type linkage mechanisms based on functional, ergonomic, and packaging requirements.
- Prepare 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
- Conduct packaging studies, interference checks, and design validation activities.
- Coordinate with Vehicle Integration, Testing, Manufacturing,



and Supplier teams during product development.
- Support prototype build, testing, root cause analysis, and design improvements.

Required Skills

- Robust experience in sheet metal and fabricated structure design.
- Knowledge of Cabin/ROPS mounting design and validation.
- Expertise in clutch, brake, accelerator, gear shift, and PTO linkage design.
- Understanding of cable and rod linkage selection and kinematic mechanisms.
- Knowledge of material selection, manufacturing processes, and design standards.
- Proficiency in Siemens UG NX, Unigraphics ,CATIA V5, Creo or equivalent 3D CAD software.
- Familiarity with GD&T;, tolerance stack-up analysis, and engineering drawings.
- Experience in DFMEA, design validation, and problem-solving methodologies.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering.
