Job Title: PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA)
Experience: 8–12 Years
Location: PAN India

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL DBA with strong expertise in PostgreSQL database administration along with hands-on knowledge of Oracle RAC, Oracle Database, and Oracle Data Guard. The candidate will be responsible for database installation, configuration, performance tuning, high availability, backup/recovery, monitoring, security, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain PostgreSQL databases.
- Perform database administration activities across development, UAT, and production environments.
- Monitor database health, performance, availability, and capacity.
- Perform PostgreSQL performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and database parameter optimization.
- Manage database backup, restore, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery activities.
- Troubleshoot database incidents, connectivity issues, locking, performance bottlenecks, and replication failures.
- Implement and maintain database security, roles, permissions, and access controls.
- Support database migration, upgrades, and environment refresh activities.
- Work on high-availability and failover solutions for critical database environments.
- Provide production support and perform root-cause analysis for database-related issues.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams.
- Maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks.





Oracle Database Responsibilities

- Good hands-on knowledge of Oracle Database administration.
- Experience with Oracle RAC installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Oracle Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Support Oracle database performance tuning, backup/recovery, and production issues.

- Good working knowledge of Oracle database technologies, particularly RAC and Data Guard.
- Solid troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting critical production databases.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
