Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a HOD - Piston Ring Manufacturing / Technical Consultant who can independently set up a complete piston ring manufacturing plant, including process design, equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and production startup.

Below are skills we are looking from the position

Position - Piston Ring Manufacturing & Coating Expert or Technical Consultant

Experience

- 15+ years of direct experience in piston ring manufacturing
- Hands-on knowledge of compression rings, oil-control rings, 2-piece and 3-piece oil rings
- Experience in process development, production, troubleshooting, and process improvement

Core Technical Expertise

- Complete piston ring manufacturing process from raw material to finished product
- Ring blank manufacturing,



heat treatment, machining, grinding, profiling, and gap cutting
- Tooling, fixture, and process development

Coating Expertise

Hands-on experience with piston-ring coatings/treatments such as:

- Hard Chrome / Chrome Ceramic
- PVD / DLC
- Nitriding
- Molybdenum and other applicable coatings

Should understand coating selection, pre-treatment, process parameters, thickness control, defects, post-coating finishing, and performance.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate with positive exposure in the setting up a complete piston ring manufacturing plant
