MSP Alarm Lifecycle Management System PSI (Plant State Integrity) Deployment and Support Engineer

Scope

Deploy, configure, and sustain enterprise Hexagon Plant State Integrity (PSI) across Chevron business units to standardize alarm management, enable enterprise alarm/event analytics and KPI reporting, and lower total cost of ownership.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan & design Gather site deployment requirements, develop PSI architecture diagrams and KCD documentation, validate server sizing against vendor recommendations, and submit designs for Product Owner approval.
- Provision infrastructure Request CMDB App IDs, Azure resource groups, service accounts, AD role groups, and firewall port openings; build Azure App/SQL VMs with site PCN IT/OT.
- Install & configure Deploy PSI application, database, Data Collector and Redirector; establish DCS and alarm/event source connections; configure data owners, imports, user roles, and COO alarm metrics/KPIs through go-live.
- Migrate & upgrade Execute on-prem to Azure migrations including SQL restore and version upgrades.
- Integrate Define requirements for custom middleware where source systems are non-standard, ensuring reusable, configurable designs across sites.
- Support & administer Serve as primary support for Azure-hosted PSI (L4/L5),



with local PCN IT/OT as secondary; own PSI system administration, access management, and single-point vendor engagement.
- Licensing & compliance Manage license acquisition, renewal and validation; complete semi-annual privileged/user access reviews (IAM.07), IRM and patch management, and CMDB accuracy.
- Deliver & report Maintain deployment plans and activity timelines, manage ADO user stories and defects, provide daily status updates, and escalate impediments.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, instrumentation, chemical, computer, or related discipline).
- 3 5 years of experience with process automation and/or SCADA systems in an industrial operating workplace.
- Basic knowledge of Alarm Management Lifecycle - alarm rationalization, prioritization, and performance monitoring against established metrics.

Preferred Skills

Hands-on Hexagon PSI/Plant State Suite administration; Azure IaaS and SQL Server; DCS alarm & event interfaces; PCN/DMZ network and firewall fundamentals; Service Now CMDB and cybersecurity control evidence; RACI-based coordination across global sites and time zones.
