Senior SAP S/4HANA ABAP Consultant

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP S/4HANA ABAP Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in ABAP development specifically tailored for the HANA setting, including CDS Views, AMDP, and the RAP framework. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in architecting, building, refining, and maintaining SAP S/4HANA solutions. Beyond technical execution, you will serve as a technical leader, guiding the development team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable applications that drive business value.
Location: Hazira, Surat, Gujarat

Responsibilities

- Spearhead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of SAP S/4HANA ABAP solutions.

- Engineer and refine ABAP applications for SAP HANA databases to maximize performance and ensure scalability.

- Create, develop, and sustain CDS Views, SAP HANA views, and AMDP procedures to support data modeling needs.

- Deploy and oversee SAP OData services to facilitate seamless integrations and enable SAP Fiori/UI5 applications.

- Execute development tasks utilizing the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).

- Manage the migration of ABAP code, perform custom-code remediation, and implement necessary compatibility adjustments for SAP S/4HANA environments.

- Execute comprehensive code reviews, testing protocols, debugging sessions, and performance optimization initiatives.

- Offer technical mentorship and strategic guidance to junior ABAP developers to foster team growth.

- Partner closely with functional consultants,



business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

- Adhere to Agile delivery methodologies and actively participate in SAP S/4HANA support operations.

- Explore capabilities within the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and propose technical enhancements.

Requirements

- Proven senior-level experience in developing with SAP ABAP on the HANA platform.

- Practical, hands-on mastery of CDS Views, AMDP, and the RAP framework.

- Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming principles within the ABAP ecosystem.

- Demonstrated background in SAP S/4HANA development, system support, and custom-code remediation.

- Proficiency in SAP OData services and development techniques specific to HANA.

- Exceptional abilities in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing system performance.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in developing SAP Fiori and UI5 applications.

- Familiarity with the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

- Proven track record of working effectively within Agile project environments.

- Background in technical leadership, conducting code reviews, and mentoring team members.

Work Requirements

- Candidates must be available to work onsite at the designated client location in Hazira, Surat, Gujarat.

- Operational hours and public holidays will align with the client's official calendar.

- Work schedules include alternating Saturdays.
