About the role
Develop sales for road-marking paints and road-construction chemicals by building business with road-construction contractors. The focus is on understanding these buyers, building relevant relationships and turning opportunities into sales.
Preferred sales background
Prior experience selling to road-construction contractors is a key preference. Candidates may have sold other products to these contractors; previous construction-chemical or road-marking-paint sales experience is not the only relevant background.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop sales opportunities with road-construction contractors.
- Build relationships with contractor decision-makers and understand their project needs.
- Present road-marking paints and road-construction chemicals against customer requirements.




- Manage customer conversations, quotations, commercial discussions and follow-ups through to closing business.
- Develop existing accounts and seek repeat business and new project opportunities.
- Track the sales pipeline and share customer feedback to support sales planning.
Candidate profile
- A sales background with evidence of customer acquisition, account development and closing business.
- Preferably, direct sales experience with road-construction contractors, with examples of the customers served and products sold.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and communicate product value clearly.
- Solid relationship-building, negotiation and follow-through skills.
