Hiring: Substation (GIS/AIS) Specialists (Electrical & Civil), Project Management Consultancy (PMC) for EHV/UHV Projects (Pan India)

About the Opportunity
We are hiring senior specialists on behalf of a leading infrastructure group for its upcoming large-scale EHV/UHV power transmission projects across India. Selected candidates will join the PMC team and provide expert technical oversight on GIS/AIS substation design, erection and commissioning.

Open Positions

1. Substation (GIS/AIS) Specialist, Electrical

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- 15+ years of experience specialising in Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) / AIS design, erection and testing

2. Substation (GIS/AIS) Specialist, Civil

- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
- 15+ years of experience specialising in Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) / AIS design, erection and testing

Key Responsibilities: Electrical

- Review GIS/AIS system design, single line diagrams, layouts and equipment specifications
- Review vendor drawings, type test reports and factory acceptance test (FAT) results
- Supervise erection of GIS/AIS equipment, transformers, reactors, switchgear and associated systems
- Oversee protection, control, SCADA and auxiliary system installation
- Witness site acceptance tests, pre-commissioning checks and energisation
- Verify compliance with IEC, IS and CEA standards

Key Responsibilities: Civil





- Review civil and structural designs for GIS buildings, control rooms, switchyard foundations and equipment supports
- Supervise foundation, piling, structural steel and building construction quality
- Review soil investigation reports, grading, drainage and cable trench designs
- Ensure compliance with material testing, concrete quality and construction standards
- Coordinate civil interfaces with GIS/AIS equipment installation (GIS hall, crane, floor tolerances)

Common Responsibilities

- Monitor contractor progress against schedule, quality and safety standards
- Review Quality Assurance Plans and conduct field inspections
- Coordinate with the PMC team, EPC contractors, vendors and statutory authorities
- Support claims review, contractual issues and technical clarifications
- Prepare inspection and progress reports for management

Desired Candidate Profile

- Proven experience on 400 kV / 765 kV GIS/AIS substation projects
- Prior experience with a utility, OEM, EPC contractor or PMC / owner's engineer
- Sound knowledge of IS, IEC, CBIP and CEA standards
- Solid inspection, reporting and coordination skills
- Willingness to travel and be deployed at project sites across India
