The role is responsible for conducting independent, risk-based audits of the Bank’s Retail Assets portfolio to assess the effectiveness of credit underwriting, approval, documentation, monitoring and portfolio management processes.

The role provides independent assurance on the quality of retail credit decisions, adherence to the Bank’s credit policies and regulatory requirements, effectiveness of internal controls, and identification of emerging credit risks across retail lending products. It also recommends corrective actions to strengthen the overall credit risk and control workplace.

• Key Responsibilities
• Credit Audit & Assurance
• Conduct periodic and risk-based audits of the Bank’s Retail Assets portfolio.
• Independently evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of credit underwriting, sanctioning, documentation and monitoring processes.
• Assess adherence to approved credit policies, product programmes, delegation of authority and internal risk frameworks.
• Review credit files and customer accounts using appropriate sampling methodologies.
• Identify material deviations,



control weaknesses and potential areas of credit risk.
• Evaluate whether identified risks are appropriately recognised, classified, monitored and mitigated.

Audit Credit Processes Across Applicable Retail Lending Portfolios, Including

Assess portfolio-level indicators to identify concentration risk, underwriting trends, delinquency patterns, early warning signals and deterioration in portfolio quality.

• Underwriting & Credit Decision Review
• Assess the quality and consistency of underwriting decisions.
• Review borrower eligibility, income assessment, repayment capacity and creditworthiness.
• Evaluate adherence to product-specific underwriting parameters
