Junior Vendor Development Engineer

Department: Vendor Development / Supply Chain
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering, DME/DAE
Experience: 2–5 years, preferably in manufacturing, automotive, engineering, or casting industries.

Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop vendors for ferrous castings, machined components, heat treatment, and surface protection processes.
Support vendor evaluation based on technical capability, quality, capacity, delivery, and cost.
Interrupt required engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, material grades, and process requirements with suppliers.
Coordinate with vendors for current component development, samples, trials, and production readiness.
Monitor supplier quality, delivery performance, and development timelines(supplier rating).
Conduct/support supplier process audits and technical assessments.
Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Production, and Purchase teams to resolve supplier-related technical issues.
Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier quality issues.
Follow up with suppliers for process improvements, cost reduction, quality improvement, and timely delivery.





Mandatory Technical Knowledge
Valuable knowledge of Ferrous Casting processes.
Understanding of casting defects, inspection requirements, and foundry processes.
Knowledge of Heat Treatment processes and their impact on material properties.
Knowledge of Special Processes for Surface Protection, such as plating, coating, painting, phosphating, galvanizing, or other corrosion-protection treatments.
Working knowledge of Machining processes, including CNC machining, turning, milling, drilling, and grinding.
Ability to understand engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, and material specifications.
Basic knowledge of supplier quality tools, RCA, 8D, CAPA, PPAP/APQP is preferred.

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
