Key Responsibilities
Transcribe and Edit: Listen to doctor dictations or review AI-generated speech-recognition drafts, correcting grammar, punctuation, and medical terms.
Translate Jargon: Convert medical shorthand, abbreviations, and clinical jargon into clear, readable language.
Verify Accuracy: Check reports for missing information, errors, or inconsistencies that could affect patient care.
Update Records: Format finished documents—such as discharge summaries, operative reports, and patient histories—and enter them into Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Maintain Privacy: Strictly follow healthcare confidentiality and legal guidelines like HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).

Work Environment & Skills
Where They Work: Hospitals, clinics,



private doctor's offices, or remotely from home. Many work full time or part time using specialized equipment like foot pedals and headset controls.
Core Skills: Robust knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, English grammar, and fast, accurate typing.
Training: Typically require a post-secondary certificate program or an associate degree (taking roughly 1 to 2 years)

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
