The Red Ginger, Colva, is looking for a motivated and service-oriented Assistant Waiter to support the restaurant's food and beverage service operations. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn and deliver excellent guest service.
Key Responsibilities
Assist waiters in providing efficient and courteous service to guests.
Help prepare the restaurant for service by arranging tables, cutlery, crockery, and glassware.
Assist in serving food and beverages to guests as instructed by senior service staff.
Explicit tables promptly and reset them for the next guests.
Ensure that the dining area, service stations, and restaurant equipment are clean and well-maintained.
Replenish cutlery, napkins, condiments, and other service essentials.
Coordinate with the kitchen and service team to ensure timely food delivery.
Respond to guest requests promptly and communicate any concerns to the senior team.
Follow restaurant service procedures and maintain proper hygiene and sanitation standards.
Handle restaurant equipment carefully and report any breakages or maintenance issues.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager or service supervisors.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in food and beverage service or a similar role is preferred.
Basic understanding of restaurant service standards.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
A customer-focused attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work effectively in a team and in a rapid-paced workplace.
