About the Role

We are looking for a skilled 2D AutoCAD Technician with solid experience in Building Services (MEP/MEPF) drafting and documentation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing precise engineering drawings, coordination layouts, and technical details for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.

This role is suited for someone detail oriented, technically sound, and experienced in supporting engineering teams in the building services domain.

Key Responsibilities
Drafting & Documentation
Prepare accurate 2D drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Fighting (MEPF) systems.
Create plans, sections, schematics, riser diagrams, and installation details as per project needs.
Update drawings based on engineer markups, design changes, and coordination feedback.
Maintain drawing standards, layers, blocks, and naming conventions.
Coordination
Work closely with MEP design engineers to translate design inputs into clear drawings.
Coordinate layouts with architectural, structural,



and other services to resolve clashes.
Assist in preparing as built drawings, shop drawings, and record documentation.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure adherence to project CAD standards and industry best practices.
Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and technical correctness.
Maintain proper document control and version management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience
3–5 years of experience as an AutoCAD Technician/Draughtsman in a building services or MEP consulting/contracting workplace.

Technical Skills
Strong command of AutoCAD 2D (mandatory).
Positive understanding of MEP/MEPF systems in commercial, industrial, or residential buildings.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and coordination layouts.

Soft Skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Good communication and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on international building standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, NEC, etc.) is beneficial.
