Role & responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy: Lead a multidisciplinary team of electrical, civil, structural, and instrumentation design engineers.
Design Engineering Oversight: Approve end-to-end plant layouts, electrical schematics (AC/DC Single Line Diagrams), inverter sizing, cable routing, earthling, and lighting protection.
Optimization & Cost Efficiency: Drive value engineering to optimize Bill of Materials (BOM), reduce capital expenditure (CAPEX), and improve plant performance ratio (PR) and energy yield.
Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with local grid codes, international standards (IEC, IEEE), and statutory/safety regulations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with Project Management, Procurement (Sourcing), Quality Assurance, and Site Execution teams during pre-bid, construction,
and commissioning stages.
Preferred candidate profile Education: Bachelors degree (B.Tech/B.E.) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Master's is a plus).
Experience: 7 to 10+ years of relevant experience in solar PV engineering, with at least 45 years in a leadership/managerial capacity handling utility-scale solar farms.
Technical Proficiency: Expertise in design and simulation software such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helios cope, and STAAD.Pro (for civil/structural interface).
Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of high-voltage (HV/EHV) substations, power evacuation systems (up to 33kV/132kV/220kV), and contemporary utility grid requirements
