Roles & Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end procurement activities from requirement identification, RFQ/RFP, supplier evaluation, negotiation, PO creation to material delivery and payment coordination.
Handle Direct Procurement of raw materials, components, consumables and other production-related materials as per business requirements.
Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, capacity and commercial terms.
Float RFQs, analyze quotations, conduct price negotiations and finalize suppliers in line with company procurement policies.
Drive cost reduction and cost-saving initiatives through effective negotiation, alternate sourcing, supplier development and value engineering.
Prepare and release Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure adherence to agreed pricing, specifications, delivery schedules and commercial terms.
Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, responsiveness and service levels, and take corrective actions where required.
Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Stores, Finance and other stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
Track open POs, delivery schedules,



pending supplies and expedite critical materials to avoid production disruptions.
Manage supplier development, alternate vendor identification and localization initiatives to reduce supply-chain risks.
Maintain procurement documentation, contracts, supplier records, pricing data and other purchasing-related records.
Analyze procurement spend and market trends to identify cost optimization and sourcing prospects.
Support annual rate contracts, long-term agreements and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, budgets and applicable statutory requirements.
Resolve supplier-related issues concerning price, quality, delivery, payment terms and commercial disputes in coordination with relevant departments.
Prepare and maintain procurement MIS, including savings, spend analysis, supplier performance, pending orders and procurement KPIs.
Continuously improve procurement processes to enhance cost efficiency, supplier performance, quality and on-time delivery.
