: Occupational Therapist

Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Training

Key Responsibilities: 1. Patient Evaluation:
Conduct detailed assessments of adult patients with neurological and orthopedic impairments.
Evaluate upper limb strength, range of motion, coordination, cognitive function, and ADL performance.
Upper Extremity Rehabilitation:
Design and implement therapeutic interventions to improve upper limb strength, fine motor coordination, and functional use of hands.
Use task-specific training, resistive exercises, and neuromuscular re-education techniques.
Cognitive Training:
Provide structured cognitive therapy for patients with deficits in attention, memory, problem-solving, and executive function.
Integrate functional cognitive tasks into therapy sessions to improve real-life outcomes.
ADL Training:
Train patients in basic and instrumental activities of daily living (e.g., dressing, grooming,



toileting, feeding).
Promote independence through adaptive techniques and assistive device recommendations.
Documentation & Progress Monitoring:
Maintain detailed therapy records, set functional goals, and document patient progress.
Modify treatment plans based on progress and patient needs.
Caregiver and Patient Education:
Educate patients and caregivers on home-based exercises and strategies to maintain therapy outcomes.
Provide guidance on ergonomics, energy conservation, and safety techniques.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists, speech therapists, and doctors for coordinated patient care.
Therapy Tools & Modalities:
Utilize therapeutic tools such as therabands, pegs, cones, cognitive worksheets, and ADL simulation kits.

Qualifications Bachelor/masters in Occupational Therapist
