Role & responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries.
Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, hemodynamic parameters, and overall patient condition.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care as per hospital protocols.
Administer medications, IV fluids, and prescribed treatments safely.
Monitor and manage chest drains, surgical wounds, and other post-operative devices as per competency and protocols.
Identify and promptly report any deterioration in the patient's condition.
Maintain accurate nursing documentation, patient records, and treatment charts.
Ensure infection prevention, patient safety, and compliance with NABH standards.
Coordinate with doctors and the multidisciplinary healthcare team for effective patient management.
Educate patients and their attendants regarding treatment, recovery, and discharge instructions.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and clinical protocols.
