Role & responsibilities
Perform blood and other specimen collection from IPD, OPD, ICU, emergency and home collection patients.
Follow proper patient identification and sample collection procedures.
Handle venipuncture, capillary sampling and difficult blood collections safely.
Ensure correct labeling, handling, transportation and storage of samples.
Maintain proper documentation and sample collection records.
Follow infection control, biomedical waste management and laboratory safety protocols.
Coordinate with laboratory staff regarding sample requirements, rejected samples and recollection.
Ensure timely and accurate sample collection as per laboratory requirements.
Maintain phlebotomy equipment and supplies.
Provide skilled and courteous service to patients.

Preferred candidate profile
35 years of experience as a Phlebotomist in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory.
Diploma/Certificate in Phlebotomy, DMLT or relevant qualification.
Positive knowledge of blood collection and specimen handling procedures.
Knowledge of infection control and laboratory safety practices.
Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in rotational shifts.
