Roles and Responsibilities of a Mathematics Teacher
Plan and Deliver Effective Lessons – Prepare and deliver well-structured mathematics lessons aligned with the curriculum and learning objectives.
Develop Mathematical Skills – Build students’ conceptual understanding, logical reasoning, problem-solving, analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Assess Student Learning – Conduct regular assessments, classwork, homework and examinations to monitor students’ progress and identify learning gaps.
Provide Individualised Support – Address different learning needs by providing remedial support, enrichment activities and appropriate guidance to students.
Maintain Academic Records and Classroom Workplace – Maintain accurate records of student performance, ensure effective classroom management and encourage a positive, engaging learning workplace.
