Our client is a well-established Indian power and industrial solutions company with a strong presence across power generation, electrical systems, infrastructure solutions and equipment-related businesses. As part of its next phase of growth and diversification, the organization is looking to establish a dedicated Compressor business catering to sectors such as construction, mining, industrial applications and equipment rental.

Job Description

- Define and execute the long-term strategy and business plan for the Compressor Division, including market entry, positioning and growth priorities.
- Take complete ownership of the division's P&L;, including revenue growth, profitability, pricing, investment planning and cost optimization.
- Build and manage the compressor product portfolio, including product roadmap, technology partnerships, supplier selection and regulatory compliance.
- Develop a strong national sales, dealer and distribution network across construction, mining, industrial and rental segments.
- Build strategic relationships with OEMs, component suppliers, consultants, customers and other ecosystem partners.
- Recruit, develop and lead cross-functional teams across sales, service, engineering, product, sourcing and operations.
- Identify new market opportunities,



export potential and adjacent business opportunities while driving the division from launch to sustainable scale.

The Successful Applicant

- 20-25 years of experience across Compressors, Construction Equipment, Mining Equipment or closely related industrial equipment sectors.
- Strong track record of owning and managing a full business P&L;, preferably with prior experience as a Business Head, BU Head, VP or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in building, launching or significantly scaling a business, product category or new market.
- Solid understanding of compressor technology, diesel powertrains, pneumatics, product integration, channel development and aftermarket/service ecosystems.
- Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Automobile or Production Engineering is preferred; an MBA would be an added advantage.
