Role & responsibilities

- Lead the design of complex plastic injection moulds and dies.
- Conduct DFM/DFA reviews and optimize tool design for manufacturing and assembly.
- Review and approve 2D drawings, 3D models, and tool BOMs.
- Ensure proper design of cooling, hot runner, slider, lifter, and ejection systems.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, CNC/EDM, PPC, Quality, and customers.
- Manage design team workload, project timelines, and technical development.
- Drive cost reduction, design standardization, and continuous improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

- Advanced plastic injection mold and tool design.
- Expert knowledge of Siemens NX, or SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of Moldflow, FEA, GD&T;, DFM, and DFA.
- Solid team leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills

. Education & Experience

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Engineering, or equivalent.
- 15-20 years of experience in tool design, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role.
- Experience in automotive plastic components and complex mould design.

5. Industry Preference

Automotive components, plastic injection moulding, automotive interior/exterior trim, and tool manufacturing.
