Role & responsibilities

Transporter Management & Logistics Planning:

- Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard suitable transport partners such as Safex, Gati, Maruti, VRL, Delhivery, Blue Dart, and other logistics service providers.
- Select the most economical and effective dispatch mode (Air, Surface, Cargo, Express, Full Truck Load, Part Load) based on shipment priority, cost, weight, volume, and delivery timelines.

Freight Cost Optimization:

- Drive logistics cost reduction initiatives without compromising service levels.
- Negotiate freight rates and annual contracts with transporters and logistics vendors.

Shipment Coordination & Dispatch Management

- Plan and execute daily dispatches as per customer requirements and committed TAT.
- Coordinate with warehouses, suppliers, transporters, and customers for seamless shipment movement.

Material Tracking & Delivery Monitoring:

- Track shipments from dispatch to delivery and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.




- Ensure adherence to committed Turnaround Time (TAT) and delivery schedules.

Packaging Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

- Lead Kaizen initiatives to improve packing materials and methodologies.
- Guide packing teams in selecting suitable packaging materials based on product shape, size, fragility, and transportation mode.

Transit Damage & Insurance Claim Management:

- Investigate transit damage cases and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with transporters, insurance agencies, and internal teams for claim processing.
- Ensure timely submission and closure of insurance claims.

Regulatory Compliance & Documentation:

- Ensure compliance with all transportation and logistics regulations.

Preferred candidate profile

Heavy engineering, construction equipment, automotive manufacturing preferred.
