Position Summary

The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being in accordance with established clinical standards and organizational policies. The role includes patient assessment, medication administration, coordination with physicians, and maintaining accurate medical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver direct nursing care as per approved clinical protocols and individualized care plans.
- Monitor, assess, and document patients’ vital signs, medical history, and health progress.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist doctors during medical rounds, procedures, and emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate, complete,



and timely nursing records and patient documentation.
- Ensure compliance with infection control guidelines, patient safety standards, and hygiene protocols.
- Educate patients and caregivers on health management, medications, and post-care instructions.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.

Qualifications and Skills

- Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institute.
- Valid registration with the State Nursing Council is mandatory.
- Solid understanding of nursing practices, patient care standards, and clinical protocols.
- Excellent communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies and work efficiently under pressure.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with nursing documentation.

Preferred Experience

- 1–3 years of experience as a Staff Nurse in hospitals, clinics, or healthcare facilities.
- Experience in elderly care, home healthcare, or chronic care management is an advantage.
- Exposure to OPD, IPD, ICU, or community health environments will be preferred.
