We are looking for a Lab Technician to support quality control activities for bitumen and bitumen emulsion manufacturing

Role & responsibilities

- Sampling of raw materials, in-process materials and finished products
- Routine testing of bitumen and bitumen emulsions
- Penetration, softening point, viscosity, ductility, density/specific gravity and other applicable tests
- Emulsion testing including residue, sieve test, storage stability, particle charge and demulsibility
- Maintain batch-wise QC records and laboratory registers
- Compare results against product specifications and report deviations
- Assist with COA preparation and external laboratory testing
- Maintain laboratory equipment and calibration records
- Follow laboratory and hot-bitumen safety procedures

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma/B.Sc. Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Civil Engineering or related field.

Preferred:
Experience in bitumen, asphalt, petroleum products, construction chemicals or material testing.
