About us
The Ekaant Badidhar is a mountaintop stay and restaurant at 6,750 ft in Solan district, about 100 km (3 hours) from Chandigarh. We serve our stay guests and visitors breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. Many vegetables come from our own organic farm, and milk from our own cows.

The role
We are looking for a reliable cook to run our kitchen. You will be the only cook and will handle the full kitchen yourself, with a kitchen helper to support you with prep, washing and cleaning. Our menu covers North Indian, Indo-Chinese, café items, tandoor and BBQ, plus a small menu of Himachali dishes made to order.

What you will cook

- North Indian: paneer and chicken gravies, dal makhani, biryani, rotis
- Indo-Chinese: chilli chicken, manchurian, chowmein, fried rice, momos
- Tandoor: paneer and chicken tikka, seekh kebab, naan, parathas
- Café and breakfast: pizza, pasta, sandwiches, parathas, omelettes, poha

What you will do

- Run the kitchen on your own and guide the helper
- Cook and serve guest orders on time, with consistent taste




- Plan daily prep and keep the kitchen clean and hygienic
- Track stock and tell us what to order
- Use seasonal vegetables from our farm

We are looking for

- At least 5 years’ experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant or dhaba
- Robust North Indian and Chinese cooking. Tandoor experience preferred.
- Knowing Himachali dishes (siddu, madra, dham) is a big plus
- Confident handling a kitchen alone
- Comfortable living and working at a remote hill property

What we offer

- ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,500.00 per month plus a monthly incentive
