- Minimum 1+ experience in at least one current programming language.
- Ability to understand requirements and turn them into working software.
- Comfort reading, modifying, debugging and testing existing code.
- Working knowledge of APIs, databases, version control and deployment concepts.
- Practical experience with one or more LLM or AI coding tools.
- Ability to use AI tools for exploration, coding, debugging, documentation or testing.
- Ability to review generated code critically rather than accepting it blindly.
- Curiosity about agentic and LLM-enabled development workflows.
- GitHub repositories, technical projects or other demonstrable work.
- Open-source contributions are practical but not mandatory.
- If employer restrictions prevent showing code,
describe the architecture and contribution and demonstrate what can safely be shown.
- We care more about evidence of real work than a long list of tools.
