Role Summary

The Manager (Finance & Accounts) is responsible for the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the company. The role includes maintaining accurate books of accounts, ensuring statutory compliance and supporting management with timely financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle day-to-day accounting transactions independently, including sales, purchases, payments, receipts and journal entries.
- Maintain books of accounts in line with accounting standards and company policies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, MIS and reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, vendor and customer ledgers, and timely collections.
- Handle bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring and payment planning.
- Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS and other statutory returns and payments.
- Support statutory, internal and tax audits by providing schedules, documents and clarifications.
- Prepare budgets, cost analyses and variance reports for management.
- Review invoices,



vouchers and expense claims for accuracy and compliance.
- Supervise, guide and review the work of the accounts staff.
- Support the CFO in financial planning, reporting and internal controls.
- Maintain finance documentation as required for ISO 9001:2015 and AEO compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

- Postgraduate / Graduate in Commerce.
- 15-20 years of experience in a reputed organization.
- Preference for candidates from the shipping / logistics industry.
- Should be conversant with the provisions of all accounting procedures and able to handle day-to-day transactions independently.
- Age: not above 50 years.

Skills and Competencies

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software / ERP and MS Excel.
- Good analytical, organisational and team supervision skills.
- Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
