1. Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Store Manager to manage the complete stores operations, inventory control, material handling, and dispatch activities. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, ensuring timely material availability, managing inward and outward material movement, and coordinating with purchase, production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Stores & Inventory Management

- Manage day-to-day store operations, including receipt, storage, issue, and movement of materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, finished goods, spare parts, consumables, and packaging materials.
- Monitor stock levels, minimum and maximum inventory, reorder levels, and slow-moving or obsolete stock.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
- Ensure proper material identification, labeling, storage, and traceability.
- Implement FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
- Prevent material damage, pilferage, wastage, and stock discrepancies.

B. Material Inward & Outward

- Supervise the receipt of incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Coordinate with the Purchase and Quality teams for material inspection and acceptance.
- Ensure proper documentation of GRN (Goods Receipt Note), material issue slips, and stock transfers.
- Monitor material issuance to production and other departments against approved requisitions.
- Ensure timely updating of all inward and outward transactions in the ERP system.

C. Dispatch & Finished Goods Management

- Manage finished goods storage, packing, labeling, and dispatch activities.




- Ensure timely dispatch of customer orders as per delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with Sales, Production, Quality, and Logistics teams for dispatch planning.
- Verify invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, packing lists, and other applicable dispatch documents.
- Arrange vehicles and coordinate with transporters to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Track dispatched materials and maintain proof of delivery and dispatch records.
- Ensure proper loading, unloading, and handling of goods to avoid transit damage.

D. ERP & Documentation

- Maintain real-time inventory data in ERP or inventory management software.
- Ensure accurate recording of GRNs, material requisitions, stock transfers, dispatch entries, and returns.
- Generate inventory, stock ageing, shortage, excess stock, and dispatch reports.
- Support ERP implementation, process improvements, and system-based inventory control.
- Maintain proper documentation for internal audits and statutory requirements.

E. Team & Warehouse Management

- Supervise storekeepers, inventory executives, dispatch staff, and warehouse helpers.
- Allocate daily responsibilities and monitor team productivity.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, storage discipline, and adherence to 5S practices.
- Maintain safe material-handling practices and compliance with workplace safety procedures.
- Train team members on inventory procedures, documentation, and ERP operations.

F. Coordination & Process Improvement

- Coordinate with Purchase for material availability and pending purchase orders.
- Work closely with Production to ensure uninterrupted material supply.




- Coordinate with Finance and Accounts for stock reconciliation and inventory valuation records.
- Identify process gaps, reduce inventory losses, and improve warehouse utilization.
- Prepare periodic MIS reports for management review.

3. Required Qualifications & Skills

- Graduate in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; a diploma or degree in materials management is preferred.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in stores, inventory management, and dispatch operations.
- Experience in a manufacturing company is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally, or other inventory management software.
- Strong understanding of stock reconciliation, GRN, FIFO, material handling, and dispatch documentation.
- Positive knowledge of MS Excel and inventory reporting.
- Strong team management, coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple operational priorities.

- Inventory accuracy and stock reconciliation.
- Timely material availability for production.
- On-time dispatch and delivery performance.
- Reduction in material damage, wastage, and inventory discrepancies.
- Compliance with stock verification and documentation procedures.
- Reduction in excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
- ERP transaction accuracy and timely reporting.
- Warehouse space utilization and team productivity.

5. Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing end-to-end stores operations, inventory control, warehouse management, and dispatch activities in a manufacturing environment. The candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of leading a store team while ensuring accurate inventory records, smooth material flow, and timely customer deliveries.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
