Role Overview

The Principal will serve as the Chief Academic and Executive Officer for the CBSE SECTION OF VALARMATHI EDUCATIONAL TRUST , responsible for maintaining high academic standards, providing effective leadership to faculty and staff, overseeing day-to-day academic and administrative operations, ensuring regulatory and board compliance, and translating the strategic vision of the Management into institutional growth and excellence.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced CBSE school leader with a strong understanding of CBSE academic, administrative and compliance requirements, and the ability to build a positive, disciplined and progressive school culture.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide robust academic and administrative leadership for the CBSE section.

* Lead curriculum planning, academic monitoring, assessments and improvement of learning outcomes.

* Mentor, guide and evaluate teachers and strengthen faculty development and professional practices.

* Ensure compliance with CBSE affiliation, SARAS, inspection, documentation and other regulatory requirements.

* Coordinate academic planning from Balvatika through Grade 10 , with particular focus on board readiness and effective foundational learning.

* Oversee the integration of sports, arts, cultural and other co-curricular programmes into the student experience.

* Promote holistic student development , discipline, values, leadership and well-being.

* Work with teachers and Management to strengthen *parent engagement and the overall school experience.

* Use data, assessments and classroom observations to identify areas for academic improvement.

* Build a collaborative, accountable and professional culture among teachers and staff.

* Represent the school professionally before CBSE authorities, parents and other stakeholders.





* Contribute to the long-term growth and development of the school in alignment with the Management’s vision.

Educational Qualifications

* Master’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with distinction.

* B.Ed. / M.Ed. or other recognized professional teaching qualification.

* NET/SLET/Ph.D. will be an added advantage.

Professional Experience

* Minimum 10 years of experience in education, including significant experience in a school leadership or administrative position.

* Prior experience as a Principal, Vice Principal or equivalent senior leadership role in a CBSE school is strongly preferred.

* Strong working knowledge of CBSE curriculum, affiliation norms, SARAS, inspections, documentation and compliance requirements.

* Demonstrated experience in academic leadership, teacher development and school administration.

* Experience in managing a school with strong co-curricular, sports and student-development programmes will be preferred.

4. Two reference letters from previous employers.

5. Contact details of two professional referees who can provide references regarding the applicant’s leadership, academic and administrative capabilities.

Pay: From ₹75,000.00 per month
