Video Editor – Educational Content

Location: Ernakulam, Kerala

We are looking for someone who can transform educational concepts, classroom recordings, lectures, and scripts into engaging, visually appealing, and easy-to-understand videos for students preparing for various examinations and pursuing academic learning.

IMPORTANT: Candidates must have prior experience in editing educational videos or developing video content for educational platforms, coaching institutes, or EdTech companies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Educational Video Editing

* Edit educational lectures, recorded classes, concept explanation videos, and subject-specific lessons.

* Convert raw footage into clear, structured, engaging, and student-friendly videos.

* Add relevant visuals, images, animations, transitions, subtitles, and on-screen text to improve understanding.

* Ensure accuracy in displaying educational facts, terminology, dates, figures, and other subject-specific information.

* Maintain appropriate pacing, audio clarity, and visual consistency throughout each video.

2. Reels & Short-Form Content

* Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form educational videos.

* Create engaging videos from educational scripts, recorded lectures, and topic explanations.

* Use visual storytelling, text overlays, motion graphics, and relevant footage to retain audience attention.

* Develop promotional videos for courses, webinars, student achievements, and educational campaigns.

* Adapt videos to different platforms, aspect ratios, and content formats.

3. Motion Graphics & Visual Storytelling

* Incorporate maps, timelines, diagrams, infographics,



illustrations, and animations into educational videos where appropriate.

* Create visually engaging explanations of complex topics.

* Develop consistent visual styles for different educational series and content formats.

* Coordinate with faculty members, scriptwriters, graphic designers, and content creators to ensure the accuracy and quality of the final output.

4. Content Production & Workflow

* Review scripts and raw footage before editing to identify suitable visual elements.

* Organise project files, footage, audio, graphics, and final exports systematically.

* Deliver videos within assigned deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

* Implement feedback and revisions efficiently.

* Stay updated on video editing techniques, motion graphics, and educational content trends.

Eligibility Criteria

* Prior experience in video editing, particularly educational content production, is mandatory.

* A portfolio demonstrating educational videos, lecture edits, concept explainers, or educational Reels is required.

* Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent editing software.

* Knowledge of After Effects, motion graphics, and animation is an advantage.

* Understanding of audio editing, colour correction, subtitles, transitions, and visual composition.

* Ability to understand educational scripts and communicate concepts visually.

* Strong attention to detail, creativity, time management, and willingness to work collaboratively.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
