Position Overview

Autoom Studio is inviting applications for its Web Developer Internship Programme for candidates with a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in web development.

This internship is designed for candidates who already possess practical development skills and want to strengthen their expertise by working on real-world projects. The selected candidate will contribute to website development, web application maintenance, feature implementation, debugging, and performance optimization while collaborating with our development team.

Candidates should be comfortable handling routine development tasks independently, understanding project requirements, troubleshooting technical issues, and delivering quality work within agreed timelines.

This is a hands-on internship programme, not a beginner-level training programme. Applicants must have practical experience developing or maintaining websites or web applications through employment, freelance work, internships, personal projects, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Website and Web Application Development

- Develop, maintain, and enhance websites and web applications.
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Implement website features based on project specifications.
- Integrate APIs and third-party services where required.

2. Frontend Development

- Develop responsive and interactive interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Convert designs and wireframes into functional web pages.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
- Improve website usability and frontend performance.

3. Backend Development

- Work with at least one backend technology, such as PHP, Node.js, or Python.
- Develop and maintain server-side functionality and form processing.
- Work with databases and perform basic CRUD operations.
- Integrate REST APIs and implement appropriate data validation.

WordPress and CMS Development

- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites.
- Work with themes, plugins, Elementor, and other relevant CMS tools.
- Troubleshoot layout, plugin, theme, and compatibility issues.
- Assist with website migration, backups, updates, and optimization.

5. Testing, Debugging, and Maintenance

- Identify and resolve frontend and backend issues.
- Test website functionality before deployment.
- Maintain existing websites and implement bug fixes.
- Follow coding standards and basic web security practices.

6. Performance and SEO Optimization

- Implement basic website speed and performance improvements.
- Follow SEO-friendly development practices.
- Optimize images, scripts, stylesheets, and page structures.
- Identify and resolve common technical performance issues.

7. Collaboration and Project Delivery

- Work with developers, designers, and project coordinators.
- Understand requirements and complete assigned development tasks.
- Use Git or other version control tools for code management.
- Communicate progress, technical challenges, and delivery timelines.
- Learn and adopt current technologies based on project requirements.

Eligibility and Required Skills

- Minimum 1 year of hands-on web development experience is mandatory.
- Good working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Practical experience building or maintaining websites or web applications.
- Experience with WordPress, themes, plugins, or CMS customization.
- Working knowledge of at least one backend technology: PHP, Node.js, or Python.
- Basic knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or another relational database.
- Familiarity with Git and version control.
- Understanding of responsive design, API integration, debugging, and website deployment.
- Ability to independently complete routine development tasks.
- Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and work on real client projects.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Elementor or other WordPress page builders.
- Familiarity with React.js or Next.js.
- Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms.




- Basic knowledge of hosting, domains, DNS, SSL, and deployment.
- Understanding of website security, technical SEO, and performance optimization.
- A portfolio demonstrating practical development work.
