Position Summary

Prudential is seeking a Vice President, Tech Lead for our Data & AI Shared Services team to serve as a senior leader within PFI India. This individual will build and lead Prudential's Data & AI Shared Services organization in India, establishing scalable capabilities that support enterprise priorities across data engineering, AI engineering, platforms, enterprise business intelligence, data enablement, process excellence, and delivery management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for translating enterprise Data & AI priorities into a scalable operating model, workforce strategy, talent pipeline, engineering excellence, and delivery capabilities that accelerate business outcomes and strengthen internal ownership of critical capabilities. The role will operate in close partnership with the Chief Data & AI Office, PFI India leadership, People Team, and Talent Acquisition to build an enduring capability hub that supports Prudential's long-term Data & AI strategy.

What You Will Do

Strategy and Capability Development

- Establish and scale Prudential's Data & AI Shared Services organization within PFI India.
- Develop and execute a multi-year capability strategy aligned to enterprise Data & AI priorities.
- Partner with global leaders to build sustainable engineering, platform, governance, automation, analytics, and reporting capabilities and related outcomes.




- Translate enterprise demand into workforce, organizational, infrastructure, and investment plans.
- Drive adoption of common standards, reusable capabilities, and scalable operating models.

Organization Leadership

- Lead the development of a high-performing Data & AI organization across multiple disciplines.
- Establish leadership structures, governance processes, operational practices, and performance expectations.
- Build succession pipelines and strengthen leadership capabilities throughout the organization.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders across Prudential and PFI India.

Talent and Workforce Management

- Develop workforce plans aligned with enterprise priorities and business demand.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and development of talent across Data & AI disciplines.
- Partner with People Team and Talent Acquisition to strengthen hiring strategies and talent pipelines.
- Build capabilities that support long-term workforce transformation and skills development.
- Establish programs that attract, develop, and retain critical technical talent.

Delivery and Operational Excellence

- Ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives and capability-building efforts.
- Drive operational excellence across delivery, workforce transitions, vendor management, and knowledge transfer activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, governance, and execution effectiveness.
- Promote adoption of shared platforms, reusable solutions, analytics assets, and engineering best practices.
- Monitor and report on progress, outcomes, and capability maturity measures.

Enterprise Partnership and Influence

- Build solid relationships with senior business and technology leaders across Prudential.
- Partner closely with the Chief Data & AI Office to align priorities, investments, and workforce decisions.
- Collaborate with PFI India leadership to support broader Innovation Centre objectives.
- Represent Prudential in external talent, technology, and industry forums as appropriate.

What You Will Bring

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of experience leading large-scale technology, data, AI, analytics, or engineering organizations.
- Demonstrated experience building and scaling technology or engineering teams within India.
- Proven leadership experience in Data Engineering, AI Engineering, Data Platforms, AI Platforms, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience leading complex organizational transformation, capability-building, or shared-services initiatives.
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Experience managing workforce planning, organizational development, and talent strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and deliver measurable business outcomes.

What Will Set You Apart?

- Experience building or leading a Global Capability Center (GCC), Innovation Centre, Shared Services organization, or Center of Excellence.
- Experience within financial services or another highly regulated industry.
- Experience supporting enterprise AI adoption, modern engineering practices, advanced analytics, or platform transformation initiatives.
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
