A desktop support engineer is an IT professional who provides L2 technical support for computers and software systems:

Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and repair hardware and network issues

Installation: Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, software, and peripheral equipment

CCTV : Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, software, and peripheral equipment

Network Support: Firefall configuration

Support: Provide end-user support, including responding to client inquiries and providing technical support

Upgrades: Perform system upgrades and advise on software and hardware upgrades

Documentation: Document incidents, problems, and resolutions

Training: Train end users when recent software or IT regulations arrive

Communication:



Communicate progress frequently if troubleshooting complex problems

Follow-up: Follow-up afterwards to ensure the original problem was fully addressed

Log: Maintain a log of job tickets and maintenance tasks

Research: Keep up with current breakthroughs in computing technology and research its reviews

Qualification: Any degree with experience in the relevant field
