Job Summary

The Social Science Teacher will be responsible for teaching Grade 10 students and ensuring effective delivery of the Social Science curriculum. The teacher will focus on conceptual understanding, critical thinking, analytical skills, and examination readiness while maintaining a positive and engaging classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver effective Social Science lessons as per the prescribed curriculum and academic plan.
- Teach subjects/topics including History, Geography, Political Science/Civics and Economics, as applicable.
- Prepare detailed lesson plans, teaching aids, worksheets, assignments, and other learning resources.
- Explain concepts clearly and encourage students to develop analytical, logical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Prepare students effectively for Grade 10 Board Examinations through regular revision, practice papers, and examination-oriented guidance.
- Conduct class tests, assessments, assignments, and periodic examinations as per the school schedule.
- Evaluate students' performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support to students who require additional assistance.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, marks, and student progress.
- Use appropriate teaching methodologies, technology, maps, presentations, activities, and other resources to make lessons interactive.
- Encourage students to relate Social Science concepts to current affairs and real-life situations.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in PTMs and communicate students' academic progress and areas of improvement to parents.




- Coordinate with subject teachers, coordinators, and other staff members for academic planning and student development.
- Participate in school activities, events, workshops, examinations, and other duties assigned by the management.
- Follow all school policies, academic guidelines, documentation requirements, and administrative procedures.
- Undertake any other academic responsibilities assigned by the Principal/Coordinator.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Science / History / Geography / Political Science / Economics or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred/required as per school norms.
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably in Grade 9–10, will be an advantage.
- Experience with CBSE curriculum and Grade 10 Board Examination preparation will be preferred.

Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
