Job Summary

Design Domain Consultants is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / BOQ Engineer with 4–5 years of relevant experience specifically in Interior Fit-out / Commercial Interior Projects.

The candidate will be responsible for quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, estimation, rate analysis, quantity reconciliation, variation tracking, and cost control for commercial office interior projects.

Important: We are specifically looking for a candidate with hands-on experience in Interior Fit-out / Commercial Interior Projects. Candidates with only general civil construction, infrastructure, or residential construction experience will not be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed BOQ (Bill of Quantities) based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Carry out accurate quantity take-offs from architectural, interior, and MEP drawings.
- Prepare BOQs for commercial office interior fit-out projects.
- Calculate quantities for:
- Flooring
- False Ceiling
- Partitions
- Gypsum works
- Painting
- Civil works
- Furniture
- Joinery
- Electrical works
- MEP works
- Other interior finishing works
- Read and understand AutoCAD drawings, architectural drawings, interior working drawings, and MEP drawings.
- Review drawings and specifications to understand project scope and required quantities.
- Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Project, Site, and Vendor/Subcontractor teams for quantity verification.
- Check vendor and subcontractor quotations against BOQ quantities, specifications, and scope.
- Prepare quantity comparison and reconciliation statements.
- Track and record additional works, variations, deviations, and changes during project execution.
- Prepare and maintain revised BOQs as per drawing and site changes.
- Assist in estimation, rate analysis, and cost calculations.
- Support project teams in material planning and cost control.
- Verify site quantities and coordinate with site teams for actual execution quantities.
- Maintain proper records of BOQ revisions, quantities, measurements,



and variations.
- Assist in preparing project-wise cost and quantity reports.
- Ensure accuracy of all quantity calculations and BOQ documentation.

Requirements

- 4–5 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying, BOQ, Estimation, or Quantity Take-off.
- Interior Fit-out / Commercial Interior experience is mandatory/preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience in Interior BOQ preparation and quantity take-off.
- Experience in commercial office interior projects will be highly preferred.
- Good knowledge of interior construction materials and finishing works.
- Ability to read and understand AutoCAD, architectural, interior, and MEP drawings.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel for BOQ preparation, calculations, comparison, and reporting.
- Good understanding of rate analysis and estimation.
- Experience in handling BOQ revisions, variations, and quantity reconciliation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Valuable coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Design, Procurement, Project, Site, Vendors, and Subcontractors.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should have practical experience working on commercial office interior fit-out projects and should be comfortable handling BOQs from drawings through execution.

The candidate should be able to independently understand drawings, take quantities, prepare BOQs, check vendor quotations, identify variations, and coordinate with the project/site team for quantity verification.

Candidates from Interior Fit-out / Commercial Interior backgrounds will be given preference.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
