Job Description

We are hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer – Switchgear with robust experience in Low Voltage switchgear design as per IEC and ANSI standards. The candidate should have hands-on experience in SolidWorks, sheet metal design, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and design documentation.

Knowledge of Medium Voltage switchgear will be an added advantage.

The candidate should also be willing to travel to Middle East customer sites for project requirements, for a duration of 3 to 6 months when required.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop mechanical parts and assemblies for LV switchgear panels.
- Prepare 3D models, 2D drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
- Work on sheet metal design, bending, welding, assembly, and manufacturing drawings.
- Ensure designs meet IEC and ANSI standards.
- Apply DFM, DFA, and Value Engineering principles.
- Coordinate with electrical design, production, vendors, and suppliers.
- Support prototype development, design validation, and manufacturing improvements.




- Maintain proper design documentation and revision control.

Required Skills

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in mechanical design of switchgear / electrical panels.
- Good knowledge of Low Voltage switchgear design.
- Strong experience in SolidWorks.
- Good understanding of sheet metal design and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of DFM, DFA, and cost optimization.
- Ability to prepare detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel overseas for project execution.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in Medium Voltage switchgear.
- Knowledge of thermal / structural analysis.
- Experience with ERP / PLM systems.
- Experience working with Middle East customers will be preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
