Job Summary

Pulse Medi Care Hospital is looking for a hardworking, reliable, and hygienic Canteen Worker to support daily canteen operations. The candidate will assist with food preparation, serving meals, cleaning, and maintaining proper food safety and hygiene standards to ensure quality service for patients, visitors, and hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in preparing and serving food and beverages as instructed by the cook or canteen supervisor.
- Wash, clean, and cut vegetables and other food ingredients.
- Serve meals to hospital staff, patients, and visitors as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dining area, and food preparation sections.
- Wash and sanitize utensils, plates, glasses, and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
- Follow food safety, personal hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
- Wear appropriate uniforms, gloves, and other protective equipment when required.
- Help maintain stock of food supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Assist with receiving and arranging food supplies and kitchen materials.
- Dispose of food waste properly and maintain clean waste disposal areas.
- Keep floors, work surfaces, and dining tables clean and organized.
- Follow instructions from the cook, canteen supervisor, and hospital management.




- Maintain a polite and helpful attitude toward patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
- Perform other canteen-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills

- Minimum qualification: 10th pass preferred.
- Previous experience in a canteen, hotel, restaurant, or hospital kitchen is an advantage.
- Freshers with a willingness to learn may apply.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness is preferred.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain discipline.
- Physically fit to perform kitchen and cleaning duties.
- Honest, punctual, and responsible.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
