Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer with solid hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Operations, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), migration, disaster recovery, and automation. The role combines operational support and infrastructure engineering with opportunities to contribute to cloud architecture and solution design. The ideal candidate aspires to become a Cloud Architect while remaining actively involved in technical troubleshooting, project delivery, and support across multiple client environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Azure Cloud Administration and Operations

- Administer and troubleshoot Azure IaaS and PaaS services, including VMs, networking, storage, Key Vault, backup, monitoring, and access management.
- Manage incidents, problems, changes, patching, performance, availability, security, and routine cloud operations.
- Implement Azure RBAC, Managed Identities, Azure Policy, monitoring, and governance best practices.
- Support multiple clients while meeting SLAs and operational standards.

2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Azure Bicep

- Develop, maintain, and deploy reusable Azure Bicep templates and modules.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using parameterized and modular templates.
- Follow best practices for version control, code reviews, testing, documentation, and deployment troubleshooting.

3. Azure Migration and Modernization

- Support on-premises to Azure migration projects, including discovery, assessment, dependency analysis, and readiness validation.
- Assist with VM, storage, networking, and other infrastructure migrations, including cutover, rollback planning, and post-migration validation.
- Identify opportunities for cloud modernization and optimization.

4. Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity

- Implement and maintain Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery solutions.
- Support DR planning, documentation, failover/failback, and recovery testing.
- Apply RTO/RPO requirements and recommend improvements to resilience and recoverability.

5. Automation and Operational Improvement

- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Azure CLI,



and related tools.
- Automate provisioning, health checks, reporting, patch validation, and routine maintenance.
- Use Azure Automation, runbooks, and CI/CD pipelines where applicable to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

6. Cloud Architecture and Solution Design

- Collaborate with architects and technical leads on Azure infrastructure design and solution assessments.
- Contribute to architecture diagrams, design documents, technical recommendations, and implementation plans.
- Apply Azure Well-Architected Framework principles covering reliability, security, cost optimization, operational excellence, and performance efficiency.
- Gradually develop design ownership through architecture reviews and technical workstreams.

7. Client Support and Service Delivery

- Provide technical support across multiple clients, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and technical escalations.
- Participate in client meetings, change reviews, knowledge transfer, and service improvement initiatives.
- Maintain SOPs, technical documentation, and troubleshooting guides.
- Balance project engineering activities with ongoing operational support responsibilities.

Required Technical Skills and Experience

- Strong hands-on experience in Azure administration and cloud operations.
- Practical knowledge of Azure IaaS/PaaS, networking, DNS, routing, VPN, storage, identity, and access management.
- Experience developing and deploying Azure Bicep templates.
- Experience with on-premises to Azure migrations and disaster recovery solutions.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Azure CLI automation.
- Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, alerting, governance, Azure Policy, security, and cost optimization.




- Understanding of ITSM processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to provide operational support across multiple client environments.

Preferred Qualifications

- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-700.
- Exposure to Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD, or Terraform.
- Knowledge of Azure landing zones, enterprise governance, and subscription management.
- Experience in cloud modernization, security assessments, and cost optimization.
- Ability to prepare high-level and low-level design documents.

Experience and Professional Attributes

- Experience: Typically 610 years in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering, including substantial hands-on Azure experience.
- Strong ownership, analytical thinking, and independent troubleshooting capabilities.
- Client-focused, collaborative, and comfortable working across distributed teams.
- Able to balance technical engineering, project delivery, and operational support.
- Willingness to continuously learn Azure technologies and develop architecture skills.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

- Independently manage and troubleshoot Azure infrastructure.
- Develop reusable Bicep templates and implement automation.
- Contribute to migration, DR, and infrastructure design initiatives.
- Deliver reliable operational support across multiple clients while meeting SLAs.
- Recommend practical Azure solutions and progressively take ownership of architecture components.

Role positioning: A hands-on Senior Azure Cloud Engineering role focused on Cloud Operations, IaC, Migration, DR, and Automation, with a pathway towards Cloud Architecture. This is not a pure Architect role; the candidate must remain comfortable with day-to-day operational support and client-facing responsibilities.

Pay: Up to ₹3,000,000.00 per year
