About the Role

We’re looking for an SEO Specialist with robust technical SEO and analytics skills to join our SEO team. You’ll report to our SEO Delivery Lead and work alongside our content, link-building and web development teams.

This role is for someone who can look at a website and its data, find what is holding it back, and turn that into clear, prioritised recommendations, without needing every step explained. You’ll work across multiple client websites at the same time, in a range of industries and on platforms like WordPress and Shopify.

We care about what you can actually do, not your job title. The role is open to strong mid-level or senior candidates.

Key Responsibilities

- Run technical SEO audits for client websites: crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, redirects, canonicals, structured data, Core Web Vitals and page speed.
- Find root causes, not just tool warnings, and turn findings into prioritised recommendations with expected impact.
- Analyse performance in GA4 and Google Search Console to explain traffic changes, spot opportunities and identify issues early.
- Investigate ranking or traffic drops, indexing problems and algorithm update impacts, and propose fixes.




- Write clear technical briefs for web developers and check that changes are implemented correctly.
- Support site migrations, redesigns and new site launches from an SEO point of view.
- Check and fix tracking setups with GA4 and Google Tag Manager when needed.
- Contribute technical and data insights to monthly client reports.
- Work with our AI and automation specialist to speed up audits and analysis, and check AI output for accuracy.
- Help keep our technical audit process and SOPs up to date.

Requirements

- 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience with a strong technical focus, ideally in an agency managing several clients at once.
- Proven ability to run full technical audits independently using tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Search Console and PageSpeed Insights.
- Strong analytical skills in GA4 and Google Search Console: you can explain why performance changed, not just report that it did.
- Solid understanding of how search engines crawl, render and index websites, including JavaScript SEO basics.
- Working knowledge of HTML, structured data (Schema.org) and common CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify).
- Experience writing clear technical recommendations for developers and non-technical clients.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Google updates and ranking factors.
- Able to work independently, prioritise well and manage your own workload.
- Excellent written English.

Nice to Have

- Experience with site migrations and large or ecommerce websites.
- Understanding of how AI search (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity) finds and uses website content.
- Experience with Google Tag Manager and Looker Studio.
