About

Liter of Light

Liter of Light is a global sustainability movement that brings people together through accessible solar lighting, hands-on learning and community participation.

The India Chapter combines renewable energy with traditional craftsmanship to create handcrafted solar lamps. We conduct educational workshops, corporate employee-engagement programmes and community initiatives that encourage people to learn about solar energy by building functional solar lamps themselves.

We are now looking for a proactive, relationship-driven professional to help us expand our partnerships and take these experiences to more schools, colleges, corporates, resorts and communities.

About the Role

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, pitching ideas and turning opportunities into real-world experiences.

You will be responsible for identifying potential partners, initiating conversations, developing proposals, securing workshops and coordinating their execution. You will work directly with the India Chapter leadership and have considerable ownership in shaping how our programmes grow.

We are looking for a builder, not just a coordinator—someone who can identify opportunities, take initiative, follow through and help grow a meaningful sustainability initiative.

Key Responsibilities

1. Partnerships & Business Development

- Identify and build relationships with schools, colleges, universities and educational institutions.
- Reach out to corporate HR, employee engagement, ESG and sustainability teams to develop employee-engagement workshops.
- Establish partnerships with sustainable resorts and hospitality groups for guest experiences involving solar-lamp building.
- Identify CSR opportunities for large-scale solar-lamp workshops, community programmes and public installations.
- Explore collaborations with art festivals, cultural events, sustainability events and other relevant platforms.
- Independently manage outreach, follow-ups, meetings,

proposals and partnership discussions.

2. Workshop Development & Execution

- Pitch and develop engaging solar-energy workshops for students, corporate teams and other audiences.
- Help design interactive experiences that combine learning, teamwork, creativity and social impact.
- Coordinate workshop materials, logistics, facilitators, venues and schedules.
- Facilitate workshops and engage participants during on-ground events.
- Collect participant feedback, document outcomes and prepare post-event reports.
- Develop ideas for new workshop formats, institutional partnerships and repeat engagements.

3. Pipeline Management & Reporting

- Build and maintain a structured database of potential partners and decision-makers.
- Track outreach, meetings, proposals, follow-ups and confirmed bookings.
- Maintain a weekly progress report and work towards agreed targets.
- Identify opportunities for repeat workshops, referrals and long-term partnerships.
- Monitor budgets and coordinate with the leadership team to ensure successful delivery.

Who We Are Looking For

- 2–5 years of experience in partnerships, business development, education outreach, experiential learning, event management or sustainability programmes.
- Experience organising workshops, educational programmes, corporate engagement activities or institutional events.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable approaching new organisations, making introductions, pitching ideas and following up persistently.
- Ability to independently take an opportunity from the first conversation to a confirmed event.
- Resourceful, organised and comfortable working with targets and deadlines.
- Genuine interest in sustainability, renewable energy, environmental education or social impact.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi. Marathi would be an advantage.

- Based in Mumbai, with flexibility to travel for partner meetings and workshops.

Experience working with schools, colleges, corporate HR teams, CSR departments or sustainability-focused organisations will be particularly valuable.

Most importantly, we value initiative, ownership and the ability to turn ideas into action. You do not need to come from the NGO sector if you have the right skills and attitude.

What We Offer

- An opportunity to build and grow a sustainability initiative with meaningful social impact.
- Direct access to leadership and the freedom to develop current partnerships and programme ideas.
- A hybrid working arrangement with flexibility, balanced with clear deliverables and accountability.
- Exposure to schools, corporates, sustainability programmes, public installations and community initiatives.
- The opportunity to shape new workshop formats and develop long-term institutional relationships.
- A fixed monthly salary of ₹35,000–₹45,000, depending on experience, with the possibility of performance-linked incentives.
- Reimbursement of approved work-related travel and event expenses.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, success means building a healthy pipeline of institutional and corporate partnerships, converting qualified opportunities into confirmed workshops, delivering excellent participant experiences and developing relationships that generate repeat engagements.

You will be evaluated on meaningful outcomes, ownership and execution—not simply the number of hours spent at a desk.

How to Apply

Please submit your CV along with a brief note describing:

- A workshop, event, partnership or outreach initiative you have personally helped organise or develop.
- How you would approach schools and corporates to introduce them to Liter of Light's solar-lamp workshops.
- Why this role interests you.

We welcome applicants who are enthusiastic about sustainability, education and building something from the ground up.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month

Benefits:

- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Provident Fund
- Work from home

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Mumbai, Maharashtra
